Merakai is an up-and-coming producer whose sound is reminiscent of the Golden Era of Hip-Hop. Having been influenced by legends like Apollo Brown, Madlib, 9th Wonder, and many more, his beats are laced with boom bap drums and jazzy/soulful samples. He recently released his debut self-titled EP that serves as a collaboration between producer and rapper.
While he handles the production for each song, he enlists heavy hitters such as Skyzoo, Che Noir, Noveliss, and more to lay down their penmanship on the tracks. Each feature was selected for their skill and persona on the mic, so there is no bad feature to be found.
