It was an emotional night for the new mother from the Bronx. CardiB was in tears as she gave her acceptance speech at the Grammy.
Cardi was so nervous she jokingly said
“The nerves are so bad. Maybe I need to start smoking weed.”
You could feel and see how truly happy and thankful she was not just for the Grammy. She is thankful for her daughter and all the success that she has been blessed with. There was even more reason to be fired with joy. Imagine coming home to baby Kulture and hearing your baby girl say mama for the first time. This is what winning is all about.
She won the Best Rap Album award for her debut “Invasion of Privacy,” beating out Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, Travis Scott & R. I. P. Mac Miller.
Cardi is the First Solo Female Hip-Hop Artist to win a Best Rap Album at the Grammy.
We must not forget that she is the first female Hip-Hop artist to have Two #1 Songs on Billboards.
This superstar took to the stage with her husband Offset. Her eyes was filled with tears,
as she talked about her pregnancy and her 7 Month old daughter who was born this past July. “I want to thank my daughter,” she said. “I’m not just saying thank you because she’s my daughter. It’s because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete, like three songs that I was for sure having. And then you know, you know how it was, we was like, we have to get this album done so I could still do videos while I’m still not showing. And it was very long nights.” INVASION OF PRIVACY
