Today we were treated to the return of Marshall Mathers aka Eminem but this time he brought out his Slim Shady persona to release a new surprising album Kamikaze. People did not take to Revival but now with lyrics that take aim at media personalities (Charlamagne The God, Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks), and artists (Tyler the Creator, Drake, Lil Yachty) we will see who comes back to ride Em's coat tales as he takes aim at the industry with aggressive lyrics and Dr. Dre lead production. With this release the question is will the reign on Eminem return as Hip-Hop's number 1 outspoken criticizer of artist and the industry he belongs too. After inspiring a generation of artist with rhyme cadences, metaphor delivery and unapologetic honesty, the title of this album seems perfect.
Kamikaze attacks are suicidal. The people that perform these acts give up everything to make a statement be it in protest or in war. With Eminem taking aim at the game and his critics it seems he is going to war with anyone that called his album wack or wanted to undermine his contributions to our Hip-Hop culture.
