When we read the Bible we read that The Most High separated the waters and exposed the land. Later we read that man was made from the dust of the ground. In the theory of evolution we are told that creatures came from the waters and the mud of the ground and came to populate the earth. I can say that in the story of New Jersey Hip-Hop when the landscape was ripe for new sound, Out Da Mud Music Group came and gave the Garden State something rich with nutrients to grow and strengthen the Sounds of New Jersey culture.

Exclusive to Heritage Hip-Hop, Out Da Mud Music Group released their new mixtape BC Era. The theme of the project is to take the listener to the time before the crisis when Hip-Hop was different , new, creative and fresh out the pack to a landscape of new youthful listeners. Frank Castle and Shot Kobang take us on lyrical escapades rapping on beats of Hip-Hop's great past on beats that feature a duo theme. Songs like It's Lit and Soul Food take the listener to yesteryear remembering the power of a group, the power of 2 MCs that can control a microphone and paint a narrative. Frank Castle brings the punch of a tactician and Shot Kobang bring the lyrical MMA style punch. But when you think it ends there Grimm Cyph the shadow of the group delivers a raw style that leaves the average ear shook with anticipation of the next verse.

The video It's Lit sets the stage for the Mixtape and by the end of the project we hope you are ready for the album to come. Out Da Mud will be talked about in 2020 as they drop projects and have featured music in the upcoming movie Umoya starring Jason Sterling, a hall of fame martial artist and actor. New Jersey Hip-Hop is going places, be sure you are ready to go with it. Stay Muddy!!!

Every now and again Hip-Hop gives us stories of the underdog. The story of a talent that overcomes obstacles to become a great in their lifetime. One such Story is of Insomniak973 a New Jersey talent with a lot tell inside and outside of his music. "Music Is a major part of my life and I love being able to Express myself on a hot track that I know people gonna feel. I've been through a lot. Hell and back. I've had great times too. And my story is unique and music let's me share it." Music has been this Mc's way to make his voice known and to speak on his life using a vibe to tell his story.

Coming out of Irvington, New Jersey Insomniak973 talks about the road to being great in his music and having a message. "The people here are survivors. Their spirits are always on hustle cause there's no way to survive without that here." By using music and beats to get is point across he has a sound that can touch hearts when life is serious and also make the listener want to dance to celebrate being alive and overcoming the struggle. When asked about style and music he replied, "My style is real punchy with the bars and melodic at the same time. Its music you could really sit back and listen to cause I'm really saying something. And you could vibe out and dance to a lot of it too. My style's fun cause it bounces around based on the feel of the song." Being inspired by Hip-Hop since youth and life being the inspiration of his music, Insomniak973 wants everyone to vibe and enjoy life and not get taken down by the harsh realities of life.

His Goal is to make timeless music so he vibes into his mood and reflects the sound of life in his sound. Being influenced by gritty Hip-Hop like the Griselda Records sound, Insomniak973 knows there are people that will support him and push him to the level where he will not only make positive noise in the music industry but also in the landscape of music itself. "I want to reach the whole world with my music. I know anyone who listens to my music gonna find a song they enjoy and relate regardless of where you're from." His message is to focus and grind on all moves that a person can make and let your success be the message to people that doubted his moves on his come up. His goal is to make timeless music and be a landmark not only in NJ Hip-Hop but in the world. Click the link below for the music video "Watch my Back Though", and his upcoming project will be dropping soon. Insomniak973 will be a name to remember. Rap Villain is quickly making a name in NJ Hip-Hop and in the Hip-Hop landscape by giving a face and name to the new wave of Hip-Hop's sound and movement. Rap Villain is composed of Alley Rocket, Heem Da Dream, Yizzle, Cuda, Taco0, Nick Straight, Bobcat and Chuck. These 8 individuals have come together to produce a very active and successful movement that includes camera work, music and community building.

On July 20th 2019, Rap Villain gave a showcase to give back to the New Jersey Hip-Hop scene. Where a lot of acts go out to make a name for themselves, Rap Villain makes their name and calls out to other inspiring artists to come out and build with them. There is a lot of raw talent and people that want attention. Rap Villain gives the opportunity for both to have a chance to showcase their intentions live on stage.

We were treated to an event where NJ talent was given a chance to showcase and we saw they genius of Otto Haze, JD Paradox, Sam, and Dean to name a few. Live Hip-Hop and instrumentation took place believe me we only told you a few of the acts that made a name for themselves. Heritage Hip-Hop will post video and pictures of the event to show you some of the new faces of Jersey Hip-Hop. We salute Rap Villain and look forward to their music, and we support them for giving a chance to the new faces of the movement to take their place as up next on the proving grounds of the culture. While some have a long way to go, we can say there are going to be a lot of new faces to lead New Jersey Hip-Hop culture forward.
